Finally Tendulkar Got the 100th Century

At last Tendulkar got the destination after a waiting a long year. The cricket legend Sachin Tendulkargot his 100th international century in Asia cup against Bangladesh in Mirpur stadium, Dhaka. Sachin reached the milestone after being without a century in 33 innings. Tendulkar made his 49th one day international century. It was his first one day international century against Bangladesh. He has already made 51 centuries in test cricket.

Tendulkar scored 114 runs after playing 138 balls. Tendulkar got out in Mashrafe Mortaza delivery to wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim. It was his one of the slowest innings and centuries in one day international cricket. After reaching the hundred of hundreds, Tendulkar said, I was not thinking about the milestone. It hasn't sunk in."

Tendulkar got out two times in 90s after making his 99th century against South Africa in March 2011. Tendulkar was congratulated by Bangladeshi players after making his 100th international century.

He added: "A year ago when I got my 99th hundred the media began talking about it. Everybody began asking me about that. It began [to get a] little difficult. I was not playing for my 100th hundred.

Today after making the century, I have lost about 50 kilos. Enjoy the game and chase your dreams. I had to wait for 22 years for one dream, the World Cup."

England Test captain Andrew Strauss told BBC Sport: "Sachin is a player by which all others are measured over the last 10-15 years, and for him to go out and get a hundred hundreds is an amazing achievement without precedent - it's unlikely to be achieved again."

International Cricket Council chief executive Haroon Lorgat has also paid tribute to Tendulkar's achievement.

"On behalf of every cricket fan around the globe I congratulate Sachin on becoming the first person to score 100 centuries for his country," he said.
"This is indeed a magnificent feat and not likely to be easily emulated. The number 100 is special for a batsman and to record 100 centuries for your country is a massive statement.
